Definition
a fixed-case strategy in comparative constructions in which there is a clause which attributes a gradable predicative scale to the comparee, and the standard is expressed as an oblique argument phrase using a spatial flag with an allative ('to') meaning. Example: Nuer diid ne gän ke ji 'I am bigger than you' is an instance of the allative comparative – diid ne gän asserts that I am big, and ke ji expresses the standard, you, with a flag ke meaning 'to'.
