Definition
an indexical strategy in which the category of person is encoded in the index. Other categories, typically number and gender/class, may also be encoded in the index. Example: in Mam t-kamb' meeb'a 'the orphan's prize', the third person prefix t- on kamb' 'prize' indexes the possessor, who is also referred to by meeb'a 'orphan'. (Section 4.4.1)
