Definition
a strategy for the applicative construction in which the event including the participant expressed as the applicative object is expressed in a single clause with a simple predicate (not a complex predicate). Example: Nomatsiguenga na-manantë-ne-ro kayeta [I-buy-ben.appl-her cracker] 'I bought crackers for her' is an example of the monoclausal/simple predicate applicative strategy, with a single verb na-manantë-ne-ro. (Section 9.3)
