Definition

a presentational information packaging of the spatial location relation in which the figure in the locative relation is introduced in the discourse, anchored by the ground - object; and the construction expressing this function. Example: in In the room was a request for breakfast, the request for breakfast is being introduced into the discourse, anchored by its spatial relation to the room. (Sections 10.4.1, 10.4.3)
