Definition
a highly grammaticalized strategy for encoding the relation in major propositional acts ( modifier– referent, predicate– argument), in which one of the two elements is in a morphologically distinct form. Example: in Syrian Arabic ʔəṣṣeṭ haz-zalame 'that fellow's story', the Construct Form ʔəṣṣeṭ 'story' is an example of a special form used in this nominal modifier construction. (Section 4.5)
